Isildur1 Crushes Bttech86 for $1.7m in Epic Omaha Thriller

Viktor "Isildur1" Blom enjoyed one of the biggest winning days ever seen at Full Tilt Poker earning $1.7 million.
Bttech86 and Isildur1 squared-off with the Swede closing in on $200k profit in the first couple of hours by winning coin flips, sucking-out and running away with the match.
After ninety minutes his stack had topped the $1,000,000 mark – particularly impressive for a capped table with a maximum total pot of just $80,000. As the match progressed Isildur1 was over $1.2 million in profit and showing no signs of slowing down.

Bttech86 refused to relent and kept reloading. Sure enough the pots eventually began to go his way, as just 200 hands after his high point Isildur1 dropped over half his winnings and was just $600k in front.
Bttech86 gained momentum and opened up more tables as first three, then four tables were being played at once, but this helped Viktor regain more ground. The damage done over the previous 200 hands was about to be repaired as Isildur1 went into overdrive.
The last hour saw Isildur1 win everything in sight, adding close to $700k to his winnings.
After running $1.2m below EV over the past week, Isildur1 had claimed back all his expected value in one brutal session. He left the tables a $1,703,125 winner after one of the most intense and exciting battles to ever grace the virtual felt.
